At COLUNA, our vision of inclusion is not limited to the physical spaces we design; it also extends to the digital space we occupy. We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of each user’s circumstances or abilities.

This accessibility statement applies to www.coluna.eu.

Our Commitment

Just as we seek to remove physical barriers in architecture, we also aim to remove digital barriers in the development of this website. Our goal is to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, at Level AA, as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Measures Implemented

To support accessibility, we have integrated the following practices into the development of the COLUNA website:

  • Semantic Structure: The website has been built with proper HTML code so that it can be easily interpreted by screen readers.
  • Contrast and Legibility: Colours and typefaces have been selected to ensure adequate contrast ratios and improve readability.
  • Keyboard Navigation: The website is designed to allow navigation without the use of a mouse, using only a keyboard.
  • Alternative Text: Relevant images and visual elements include text descriptions (Alt Text) for users with visual impairments.
  • Adaptability (Responsive Design): The content adapts correctly to different screen sizes, including mobile phones, tablets and monitors, allowing zoom without loss of functionality.

Limitations and Continuous Improvement

Despite our efforts to ensure full accessibility across the website, we recognise that there may be occasional limitations in some content or that technology continues to evolve.

We see accessibility as working progress, much like the management of a building. We regularly monitor the website in order to identify and correct any barriers that may arise.
